Foam Seat Pan:

• Best for users who have an active work style and spend shorter, less continuous periods in the chair.
• Soft, comfortable, traditional, responsive, and supportive cushioned feel.
• Generally standard, more durable against rapid breakdown.
• May cause pressure points during  continuous, multi-hour sitting sessions. 

Gel Seat:

• Best for users who work long hours, "pull overtime," or remain fixed at their desk for extended, long-term, uninterrupted periods.
• Non-degradable, non-compressible, gel layer over a foam core that offers a slightly firmer, more supportive feel than foam.
• Superior unmatched maximum pressure distribution, and better heat dissipation.
• Some users might find it less comfortable if they prefer a softer, traditional cushion.
