VIA Seating 4U Ergonomic Task Chair
Via's 4U – Task/Conference Seating - A versatile task seating series that embodies sophisticated Italian design with full function ergonomics. The controls on this series auto adjust to the users’ body weight, and offer easy to use, body balance technology with the combined benefit of syncro tilt functionality. This blend of superior ergonomic function allows for active or passive ergonomic sitting positions. Because it is so easy to use, this series can be offered to both; task intensive or conference applications.
4U is available in both a High Back and a Mid Back model with an Upholstered Back, and also in a Mid Back model with a Mesh Back. The mesh back is elastomeric, 4-way stretch offering optimal spine support and long term comfort. All models are available in a standard black frame or optional white frame.
4U can be specified with a Basic Body Balance Syncro Control or a high performance Enhanced Body Balance Syncro Control, both include a seat slider and weight activated tension control. Two Height Adjustable Arm styles are available, both offer open side seat access to accommodate different work styles & postures. Three Base options are available.
4U is built with quality components; glass nylon reinforced frame structure, full metal case control, foam cushion is proprietary to Via & is covered in Via’s lifetime warranty (see bottom of page). It is weight rated up to 290lbs.
4U features sophisticated Italian Design with slim line profile. Multiple fabric/color choices available. 4U combines what is required by A&D in terms of aesthetics & what health & safety people require in terms of ergonomic flexibility & adjust-ability. This meeting on the minds allows for design & ergonomic considerations to be satisfied with one seating solution.

This warranty is given to the initial purchaser and is valid for as long as the product is owned by the original purchaser. This warranty is in effect from the date of original sale and covers defects in materials and craftsmanship found during normal single shift usages; single shift usage is five (5) days a week, eight (8) hours a day. See “Applicable Warranty Periods” below. Products covered by this warranty will be either repaired or replaced at swopper.com’s discretion. Product repair or replacement of any defective part is the customer’s exclusive remedy for any and all product defects. Labor is not included. swopper.com accepts no other responsibilities or liabilities. Only those items free of misuse, abuse, accident, alteration, unauthorized repair, or damage by fire, flood, or other acts of God will be covered.
Applicable Warranty Periods:
- 5 years for materials
- Normal wear and tear, abuse, fading and COM/COL
- Matching of colors, patterns or dye lot
- Please do not return the product without prior authorization from via seating.
- Please send a written notification of the defect to via seating along with a copy of the original invoice.
